Study Plan

If you want to complete the syllabus for the class 12 maths exam, you need to start your preparation below. Here is a guide that will help you create your study plan:

1. Early preparation

As soon as you start your new academic year, you should start the exam preparations as well. This way, you will be able to get an in-depth understanding of the concepts and revise the complete syllabus multiple times before giving the main exam. There are a lot of students who neglect their studies during the early stages. You might think that you have a lot of time to study and you should start when the exams are approaching. The truth is that this isn’t the correct way to prepare. As a student, it is important that you carefully plan your preparations and strictly follow them. You must have a daily routine where you implement your plan and study. Make sure that you create your study plan in a way that you are able to finish the syllabus at least 3 months before the exam. This way, you will have more than enough time to revise. Out of these months, you should spend 2 solving practice questions and previous year’s question papers. You should give mock tests regularly to get an idea of what the actual exam will be like. Don’t forget to time yourself. The last month should be dedicated to revising everything that you have done. Remember that without revision, all your preparation might become useless.

2. Change the plan if it doesn’t feel right

It is important to note that you don’t have to follow the same study plan for the whole year. If you see an improvement in speed and want to manage your time better, you can change the plan accordingly. Since you will also be attending classes in school, you won’t get more than 5 to 6 hours for self-studying. You have to plan your time wisely. Don’t try to overdo it. Your study plan should be achievable and clear.

3. Remain focused on avoiding distractions

While you are studying, you have to cut yourself from all distractions like social media, smartphones, video games, etc. If you feel like it will add value to your study, you can watch a curriculum-related YouTube video. But, you have to set a time for that. By staying away from distractions, you will be able to concentrate on your studies easily and properly. It is important to be focused which is why you have to get rid of the distractions.

4. Eat and stay healthy

Avoid junk foods and eat hygienic food. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind. It is the key to success in your exam preparation. Make sure that you are eating properly and getting enough sleep. If not, it is possible that you might get sick before or during your exam.

5. Solve question papers

The last three months of your preparation should be set for solving question papers of previous years. It is a good method of preparing for the exam. The more question papers you solve, the more confidence you will gain. Also, you will get an idea about what type of questions are asked in the exam and what your current preparation status is. You can solve sample papers as well as previous years’ question papers.
